She walks through another garden now, rearranging the plant life and encouraging
the birds, butterflies and wildlife
to join the serenity created there.
The beauty she has created on this earth
blossoms in our memories.
That which she will create from now on
will live in our souls.

Angels nest in secret sunlit places,
wings smelling sweet
in the gathered warmth.
The hammocks of the soul lay waiting
to catch their golden harvest
of peace and tranquillity.

GLORIA'S GARDEN was written shortly after my Aunt Gloria's passing. I feel that she wrote the poem through me in order to pass it on to those who have lost loved ones. Soon after September 11th I changed the 'she' to 'they' to symbolize the mood of the country.
ANGELS NEST IN SECRET came to me on a beautiful autumn day when the wind was just right and carried the smell of freshly mowed hay.
Your warmth allows my wings to unfold,
while your love whispers my name and I fly.
Your arms encircle my heart
and embrace my soul.
Your smile sends me silent words of understanding as your hand rests in mine, touching the unity within.

YOU ALLOW ME TO FLY was written to my husband, Ernie, on one of our anniversaries. As in many pieces of poetry, each reader interprets the words as their experiences dictate. 'Your', in this case has meant 'your higher power' to many.
The shutter speed is set at 5 seconds.
The iris is wide open as the events unfold.
She sits as if a passenger without control, speeding over asphalt,
Cement walkways and through chains no longer restricting.
The shutter is then stilled, unable to see the transition from horizontal to vertical.
Where was the framed image of those moments?
Who were the forces holding her body safe from the rising waters?
Who took away the fear and left a wonderment of the future.
She was told it wasn't her time and a second chance was given,
A gift of life and a responsibility to touch others.

A SECOND CHANCE may explain to you why angels have been the main theme of my art since 1997.  Five angels protected me that day and now I wish to honor THEM with my art and by sharing their energies through Reiki and Shamballa healing.

SEED CHILDREN was written for those parents who have lost their children and inspirited by the 'angel of hope' statues. I feel as though it was written through  me to be used by many. This copyrighted poetry may be used in an appropriate way.

Seed children
play upon their parent’s souls,
tugging to open the shell,
planting a grain of love
only to close in darkness.
Seed children take root

becoming distant stars,
glistening from tears and
watching from other lands
